Your Target Market…Think Quality! Not Quantity

I started off my day by reading a wonderful article in the Leader’s Club Archives by Susanne Hutcheson.

She was talking about how important it is to attract quality prospects into your downline rather than having tons of people that just don’t do anything.

Those type of recruits just take up your valuable time and efforts.

To attract that handful of wonderful prospects you need to truly understand your target market and have the know-how to create awesome marketing material.

You need to use words that your audience would use….talk in their lingo! That was one of the big mistakes I made when I first started doing presentations.

I used a lot a technical terms and threw out scientific facts because I though it sounded impressive. In reality that only confused them!

She also mentions that “your passion must be contagious!” Without passion you’ll get nowhere fast.

Your prospects need to feel & connect with you product, service or opportunity. For example, if you’re out there selling skincare they need to really understand what this product will do for them…..they need to get excited about it!

Some people will respond with you and some won’t and that’s okay. The ones that do are the ones that matter. There no good in having a huge downline if no one is working!

Target your message to the type of people you want to respond….rather that shooting out a broader message that doesn’t interest anyone.

Take the time to learn more about actual marketing strategies. There are so many people out there that jump into this industry that know nothing about marketing at all.

There are resources out there that can teach you these skills and I’m not talking about the “gurus” that are offering $1000 magic ad copy formulas.

Really take the time to know your target market and remember you want QUALITY not quantity when it comes to finding prospects.
